Family Caregiver Support Program

The Family Caregiver Support Program provides support services to help informal caregivers of adults age 60+ as well as grandparents/older relative caregivers who are caring for children.

While caring for family members can be rewarding, it often takes a physical, emotional and financial toll on the family. Caregivers who do not have access to a support system may experience burnout, leading to increased stress and other problems. The Family Caregiver Support Program helps address these caregiver challenges through:

  • Support Groups
  • Information, Referral and Assistance
  • Respite
  • Care Coordination
  • Education and Training

Services are available at no cost. Voluntary contributions are accepted.  No eligible caregiver will be denied services because of an inability to contribute.

For information on this program, contact us at 209-532-6272 or 800-510-2020 or at info@area12.org

Wise Words

One’s age should be tranquil, as childhood should be playful. Hard work at either extremity of life seems out of place. At midday the sun may burn, and men labor under it; but the morning and evening should be alike calm and cheerful.
