Support Services
Homemaker, Chore and Personal Care
Most older adults are able to live independently in their own homes with no
support. However, there are times when someone might find themselves in need of
brief and periodic assistance especially if you were just released from the
hospital or are recuperating from a long illness. Our program can provide the
following:
- Homemaker – Provides household support, such as cleaning, laundry,
shopping, food preparation and light household maintenance.
- Chore – Provides periodic assistance with chores, such as heavy cleaning,
washing windows, trimming trees, mowing lawns, and removal of rubbish and other
substances to assure hazard free surroundings.
- Personal Care – Provides assistance with non-medical personal services,
such as bathing, dressing and hair care.
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be 60 years of age or older
- Priority is given to those who are frail, elderly (over 75 years of age),
isolated and with greatest economic and social needs.
