Family Caregiver Support Program
Caregiver Luncheon
Area 12 Agency on Aging is the leading area resource for family caregivers who
provide regular care to an older adult with a disabling illness or condition.
While caring for family members can be rewarding, it often takes a physical,
emotional and financial toll on the family. This program helps address these and
other caregiver challenges by providing:
- Support Groups
- Respite Care through:
- In-Home Supervision
- Adult Day Care Personal Care services
- Outside Chore services
- Homemaker services
- Information on available local resources
- Community Education
- One-on-One fitness training for the caregiver
- Assistive Devices Minor Home Adaptations for the caregiver
Eligibility requirements are for a caregiver over the age of 18, providing
unpaid care for a person 60 years of age or older.
By having access to these services, the caregiver is able to take better care of
themselves…while improving the quality of care they’re offering their family
member.
Contact our support staff at (209) 532-6272 or (800) 510-2020 for assistance in dealing with this fulfilling and
sometimes challenging act of love.
